To attend, you must register by purchasing a reverse ticket for yourself and for each of your attendees you are bringing. However, as long as you attend any part of the event, the cost of the ticket(s) you purchased will be refunded back to you after the event is over. So yes, technically the conference is free to attend.

Our event registration uses reverse ticketing. That means you purchase a ticket for yourself—and one for each attendee you are bringing—and if you attend the event, the cost of your ticket(s) will be refunded to you. If you do not attend the event, the cost of your ticket(s) will not be refunded to you.

We are using reverse ticketing for two reasons:

1.) To make the event free for attendees. Donations by our generous supporters allow us to make this event free for all attendees. As long as you attend any part of the event—granted that you check in at the sign-up table—you will be refunded.

2.) To maximize the number of attendees at our event space. Our chosen venue allows us to host 420 attendees. We cannot allow more than 420 people to register, as we want to make sure there will be enough seats for everyone at the conference. Reverse ticketing ensures that only those who are serious about attending register for the event.
